70 Mile Coastal Yardsale

September 17-18, 2022

Every September, thousands of treasure hunters flock to SE Prince Edward Island in search of that elusive gem or a “steal of a deal!”  WIADC has been organizing the annual Yardsale since 1998.

The 70 mile coastal yardsale  is a two day event featuring music, onsite BBQ and charity raffle. Dozens of vendors are also onsite along with over 350 offsite vendors along the coastal and back roads in private homes, community halls, churchyards, and small businesses.  Raffle tickets are now available at the Wood Islands Liquor Store and Wood Islands Lighthouse for an original Bertie Cook handmade quilt. Additional draw prizes will include chimney service by Capitol Chimney Sweep and ferry passes.

Bertie’s Last Quilt

Bertie Cook, who created this and every other raffle quilt, left us in 2020.

Some of her many quilts are travelling far and wide, chasing a chill out of folks in need. Others are staying close to home, warming her friends and family.

She may be gone, but even now, she’s still keeping people warm.

Thank you, Bertie.

Vendors offering antiques, collectibles, household items, fashion items, children’s toys, sports equipment, and probably a kitchen sink or two means that there are treasures to appeal to everyone.

The Eastern Graphic newspaper will be publishing a map and list of  registered vendors Sept. 14th, or visit our Yardsale Google Map to plan your day. For vendors onsite here at Wood Islands please see our Community Site Map.
