Where to eat

The Whistle Stop opened seasonally (mid-June to late September) in the beautiful replica Train Station at our Centre has become a community favourite.   Operated by Tanya Arch, the Whistle Stop  serves up great meals with locally sourced ingredients. Come for lunch, dinner or just a snack and enjoy fresh coffee by a local roaster. Campers, cottagers, and tourists fresh off the ferry will surely be happy to find a very satisfying bite to eat at the Welcome Centre.

There is a cafeteria located at the Northumberland Ferry Terminal building which is open for business.

A variety of restaurants can be found in the town of Murray Harbour / Murray River (15 minutes East of Wood Islands), in Montague (15 minutes North of Wood Islands), in Point Prim (20 minutes West of Wood Islands) or in the city of Charlottetown (45 minutes West of Wood Islands).
