There is a place on the rural shores of Wood Islands, PEI where you could spend your summer
work days with spectacular views and bring fascinating history to the young and old.

The Wood Islands Lighthouse and Museum is accepting applications to fill 2 Student Tour Guide positions for the 2025 season.

Start Date: June 30
End Date: August 23

The ideal applicant will be:

• outgoing and enjoys working with the public
• should work well in a team environment
• is comfortable talking to large groups of people
• has a passion for PEI history and can memorize historic details

Responsibilities:

• Greet our guests in a welcoming manner
• Offer historic details related to the Wood Islands Lighthouse and surrounding area
• Provide personalized tours to individuals and groups
• Perform light house and grounds keeping

These positions require the ability to climb steep stairs and not be fearful of heights and are only open to students who are returning to school in the fall.

Wage: $16.00 + 4% Vacation Pay.

The Wood Islands Lighthouse and Museum is accepting applications to fill our Assistant Manager Position for the 2025 Season.
This is a full-time seasonal position.

Start Date: June 1
End Date: Sept 28

The ideal applicant will be:

• Mature, outgoing and enjoys working with the public
• Is comfortable talking to large groups of people
• Has a passion for PEI history and can memorize historic details
• Comfortable working with computers and point of sale software

Responsibilities:

• Greet our guests in a welcoming manner
• Offer historic details related to the Wood Islands Lighthouse and surrounding area
• Provide personalized tours to individuals and groups
• Perform light house and grounds keeping
• Assist manager with ordering giftshop items and managing inventory
• Perform gift shop clerk duties using Square point of sale software
• Assist in employee scheduling and provide leadership in a team environment
These positions require the ability to climb steep stairs and not be fearful of heights
This position requires availability to work both weekdays and weekends.

Wage: $19.00/hr
