If you are looking for community space to rent for meetings, special events, family gatherings, training courses or other activities, we have what you need.

We offer 1,000 square feet (48×22) of bright, clean, open community space –comfortable for 80 persons — available year round, and above the Visitor Information Centre at the Wood Islands Welcome Centre. Adjacent is a fully equipped provincially certified kitchen which can be rented as well. The centre is equipped with an elevator for people with restricted mobility or for those bringing in equipment or goods. There is a raised stage at one end of the room. We also have:

  • free Wi-Fi
  • a projector on a mobile cart
  • a large pull down screen
  • high performance audio system with microphones and stands
  • adjustable bright or subtle lighting

The certified kitchen is well equipped with dual stoves, microwave, dual refrigerators, dishwasher, food preparation tools and serving ware, along with dishes and cutlery. Everything required for catering an event is available but outside catering can also be arranged.

Ours is a “scent free” facility. Maximum occupancy is 80 people.

PRICES (HST extra)

8 consecutive hours – $130
4 consecutive hours – $70
Additional per hour rate: – $25
Hall set-up & reset – $30
Hall clean up (if deemed necessary) – $100
Kitchen use – $120 (includes mandatory clean up)

Options, if available:
Coffee Service – $30
Lunch Service – Market price. (Sandwich trays, sweet trays, and drinks from grocery store at a “cost plus” rate.)

Damage Deposit may be required.
