The Wood Islands and Area Development Corporation (WIADC) offers local businesses and locally-related businesses an opportunity to advertise by putting up a sturdy, well-appointed sign at our Sign Plaza. Your sign will coordinate to a map in the Sign Plaza as well.

Wood Islands Market is the premium Gateway experience. We are one of only three main points of entry to our Island — bridge, ferry, and airport. Northumberland ferry passengers number in excess of 475,000 annually and this number is trending upward faster than the other two gateways. Our events, shops, trail and Agency Liquor Store bring in thousands of tourists and local residents, and The PEI Government’s Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is the first stop for ferry visitors getting their bearings. Put your business up front and visible to this wide audience!

Applicants are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their signage, which must be 44″ x 16″. Two companies we recommend for producing/printing the signs:

Please contact your selected sign printer for costs.

Rental for space on the Sign Plaza is $100/year.

Signage is posted in May, and taken down in November for safe storage at our facility. This schedule provides lasting quality for the life of the sign.

Simply fill out the application form below, and someone will contact you. The WIADC reserves the right to accept/reject any application or remove any sign from the sign plaza without recompense. The applicant is responsible for keeping the sign information current.
